And so I'm about to begin the adventure. Two months of riding with a few days of rest and exploration thrown in for good measure. Hopefully, my legs will be up to the job and I'll make it all the way to St Augustine in Florida on the 6th May.
So far my trip has involved cars for transport, hotel rooms for sleeping and an excessive diet of rich food experienced mostly through a gentle alcoholic fug. Occasionally the fug has been a fog (I'm looking at you Monterey and San Diego) and that's how it occasionally is on holiday. However, from this point on my transport will be my own two pedals and my own two wheels, food will be fuel and alcohol will merely allow the desert floor to be a bit more comfortable (I find red wine the mattress enhancer that suits me best).
until now, I've been furnished with an abundance of respectably paced wireless, so posting has been frequent and the word count light. I anticipate I'll have a bit more time on my hands over the coming weeks however opportunities to update the Blog will be a moderate, so I'll try to pack a bit more detail in.
That's it for now, so I'll be off to my bed in preparation for tomorrows first real day in the saddle.
In the meantime here are some pics from todays ride.
Tally Ho!

Safe travels mate. Looking forward to reading sporadic posts about your adventures.
