Puncture Sweepstake.

Whilst plying my trade with the good people at Coral I learned a thing or two about the betting game. (become a bookie). With this in mind I've decided to run a sweep on how many punctures I get over the whole route. I'm going to start things off with my punt, which is 8 punctures during the whole trip.

Rhod                      8
Simon Lees            4
Ian Pearson           12
Ste Ashworth         3
Woody.                 13

Post your comments below to add your guess to the sweep. The prize is yet to be determined, but I suspect it may be an honorary title.

  1. I had 2 over 1200 miles but the second one was caused by not fixing the first one properly. You are no doubt far my careful so going to say 1 per 1000 miles plus one for good luck : 4

  2. I say after seeing the way you ride in the UK and the way you attack the pot holes over here. I will be surprised if you get away with less than double figures. So I think 12 is a fare round number.

  3. I wouldn't expect any more than 3 from an expert rider with as many miles as you have under your belt. So I'm going with 15. Only kidding. 3.

  5. You're riding in the south, so I'm factoring in potholes, armadillos and random gunfire for a lucky 13.

  7. You won't have seen last night's Top Gear Christmas Special, there was one section where they had 10 punctures between them and Captain slow had a double puncture and two cracked wheels. So hopefully you don't find a road like that. So I am going to say 10 and a damaged spoke
